Who are we?

Well, first off, syncopated brewing company is a labor of love between Jason Van Fleet of Dutch's BrewHouse and ten year brewing industry vet, Chris Klein.

Having met in 2014 at a mutual friend's Labor Day bbq (who happened to be Jason's mailman), the two instantly made a connection over good beer, being Texans (only shortly for Chris), good music, and just wanting to share their passions with the world.

Chris was staying in San Diego during the week while running Ballast Point's original brewery in Linda Vista, and Jason was building out what was to become Dutch's BrewHouse. The two spent every weekend together drinking beers and dreaming of what would be the ultimate project to collaborate on SOME DAY.

Well, that day has come! Focusing on making the best beer possible in every style imaginable, syncopated will be proactive with utilizing local resources, being as sustainable as possible, involving local and national organizations to collaborate, and be as philanthropic as possible. 

Syncopation is a musical term meaning a variety of rhythms played together to make a piece of music, making part or all of a tune or piece of music off-beat.  Well, that describes what we plan to do perfectly! Bringing Dutch's brewer, Adam Escobar, into the fold, we will have someone to help organize the chaos, and make incredible beer that will definitely be offbeat.
